| Glandorf Cemetery is located in a small country town just outside of Lima, Ohio. GCOPS crew member, Linda M, wanted to visit her baby brother who is buried in this cemetery along with a few other of her close family members. Linda has always had a curiosity about this graveyard and we decided to check it out one night. When we first arrived at the location, it was close to dusk and hot. We wanted to arrive before dark to get a feel of the place and set up our equipment while it was still light out. After doing so, Linda and I wandered around her brother's grave for a little while. The place felt weird. It was a beautiful setting, don't get me wrong. But it just did not feel right. At first, I shrugged the feeling off, thinking it was just a new place with old graves mixed in with the new ones. I decided to leave Linda to locate her family around her family's plots, and wandered over to the center of the cemetery where some Catholic Priests and other church members are buried next to a humongous statue. I felt that it had to feel better, energy wise, over in this area because of who was all buried here. I decided to focus on this area for EVP collection due to the religious value the recording may hold. I introduced myself and left the recorder sit a top of a war veteran's grave who was buried next to a little boy. I spoke to the man and little boy for a little while before Linda came over to join me in my session. After the sun made it's way passed the trees, we started heading towards where the man and boy are buried and started filming while Robb and Jake decided they were going to watch the cameras on the monitor from the back of the car. As Linda and I sat in front of the boy's grave, a tall, luminescent figure appears beside the equipment building, on the right side of it. The building is located on the east side of the property and is tucked in, beside the river. Linda saw this as well but we were not sure what to make of it. It was too tall to be a living person and no one can be there without us seeing them walk to that area from where we were set up. The moon was starting to come up over the tree tops and the figure would disappear and then reappear. But every time we tried to have the guys look at what we were seeing, it would vanish. Finally, about an hour or so later, Robb happens to be doing a vigil with Jake in the same area that Linda and I had done ours when we saw the object. Robb saw the figure and took off after it. When he gets to the location (and he arrives exactly where Linda and I had already seen the object several different times), he sees nothing there. He walks back to the corner of the building on the right side but still, nothing. Robb turns to walk back towards us and hears footsteps behind him. Out of complete shock, he starts hurrying back, never looking back to see what made the steps. We have him on film taking blind leaps of faith over headstones to get away from the sounds he had just heard. ..... :O) (Robb's note: It startled me to hear something running towards me from behind. I was just leading it into camera range though...;)...) Shadow people were an abundance. The more the full moon lit up the yard of the cemetery, the more shadow people the crew would see. It is definatly one of the most creepiest places to be on a night like this. |
