| Grave Yards 101 |
| Grave yards have always been my most favorite places to work. Though I do not totally understand why spirits hang out by their bodies, I just know that some do. I have come to understand that some of my research spirits that I have been studying for several years now, have chosen to stay at the graveyard because they are in hopes of finding family members that may one day come to visit with them. Could this be true for all situations? I think not. I do believe, however, that spirits stay close to their bodies due to the fact that it is very hard to let go of something you had for so long. That seems to be the case for most. But one thing I do want to point out..they do leave to go visit their homes or wherever they want to go visit like family, friends, etc. I have left many recorders run over night at cemeteries that are locked down at sundown. I come and pick them up as soon as they unlock the cemeteries. And every time, it was always a joy to listen to all they had to say. One thing I do want to mention is that it is not necessary to trample through the graveyards in the dark. Spirits really become upset if you step on their graves. Even the nicest spirits will become angry if you step on them. They feel you are being disrespectful at that point so I just wouldn't do it if I were you. My research is all about respecting the dead. I may make mistakes along the way, but I do try my best to learn from those mistakes. And trampling their graves at night was one of those mistakes. But once I heard how much it upset them, I never trampled on their graves again. I never did feel right when walking through a graveyard and accidentally stepping on their graves. It would just feel weird. Now I know why. One thing I have always done with my work is that I turn on the recorder as soon as I drive into the parking lot of a cemetery. This has actual proven to be useful. I don't only do this at cemeteries but every investigation. I have found that they come into the car to see who we are and what we are doing there. Even at private home investigations. Before I even get my seat belt off, they are usually already chatting away. If it's a place that I go regularly, they will usually say..."It's just Jasmine..Jasmine is here!"... I could even be in a car they have never seen before, and they still know it's me. One time, we had a person in the front seat that was visiting with us as a guest investigator in training...I sat in the back seat. It was so funny! We were in my car and you hear my friend spirit, Catherine, say.."You are not Jasmine..Where's Jasmine??" My spirits from home were in the back with me (from what we heard) and replied to Catherine..."She's back here with us!"..It was just so funny! Then they went on to talk to me through the ghost box. It was amazing. And I have done things this way every since then. I guess my point is, if you do like going to cemeteries, please be respectful and do your best to stay off their actual graves. Stay on paths or stay in the parking lots. Spirits are always eager to speak with you if you are willing to try and communicate. So it doesn't matter if you are in the cemetery or not. Those who want to talk, will come to you wherever you are. So please..stop stepping on them. I sit in the parking lots at night. I turn my cameras on and the digital recorders and ghost box. They never fail to come to us. They always have something to say. We have witnessed on many occasions, that they will even yell from their graves to you. But once you step into the graveyard..it becomes very quiet. So if you want to get better results and happier spirits, just stay out of the graveyard at night and hang out by your car. It's safer and everyone wins in this situation. They will be more respectful towards you because you showed respect towards them :O) Happy haunts everyone :O) xoxoxoxo's Jas |
